What Selah is
Selah is a daily prayer app: each day it gives you one short written prayer, one Scripture verse that anchors it, and one question to sit with. A reading takes a few minutes, and it is the same reading for everyone using Selah that day.
Who writes the prayers
Every prayer, title, and reflection in Selah is written in-house in one consistent voice, not collected from existing devotionals or produced by a language model. The prayers are contemporary and ecumenical — Christian, but not tied to one tradition’s distinctives — and each is short enough to read aloud in under a minute.
Why it is built this way
Selah keeps a quiet count of the days you have prayed and invites you back, but it has no streak flame, no score, and no notifications that nag — because a prayer habit built on guilt is not one worth keeping. The interface stays out of the way so the Scripture and the prayer carry the weight.
What it costs
Selah is free and has no subscription, because the whole app runs on one small shared server with no paid infrastructure behind it. Your prayer journal and the days you have kept are stored privately and are never sold or shared.

Selah is made by Shoshin Systems, a small independent software studio. The app and the prayers are both its own work — nothing here is licensed in or generated.
